Insurance broking and risk management firm Gallagher has been announced as the new title partner of the Dublin Horse Show in a three year deal.

The Gallagher Dublin Horse Show takes place on 5-9 August at the RDS in Ballsbridge in Dublin.

Since launching in Ireland in 2022, Gallagher has expanded and now operates from 12 locations and oversees the insurance needs of over 300,000 Irish businesses and consumers.

Gallagher was founded in 1927 in Chicago in the US and operates in more than 130 countries.

Originally from Limerick, the Gallagher family now employ over 71,000 people worldwide, under the leadership of CEO and Chairman Pat Gallagher, grandson of the original founder.

The 151st Gallagher Dublin Horse Show will welcome over 100,000 visitors to the RDS in August and combines sport, style and socialising in the heart of Dublin city.

The new title sponsorship announcement comes in a landmark year for the Horse Show as it marks the 100th year of the Nations Cup, where teams compete for the Aga Khan Trophy.

This year also sees continued investment across the RDS campus, including the new Laya Arena, further enhancing its ability to host world-class sport and international events.

Paul Kelly, chief executive of the RDS, said the new partnership reflects a strong alignment of values – heritage, excellence, and a shared commitment to supporting the equestrian traditions that are so integral to communities and culture throughout Ireland.

“This partnership with Gallagher, a global leader in insurance broking and risk management, and well known for supporting tier one sports is a clear endorsement of the show’s international reputation and gives us an opportunity to work together to continue to evolve and improve for the future,” Mr Kelly said.

Derek Henry, CEO, Gallagher in Ireland, said the Horse Show is a unique blend of world-class sport, heritage, and atmosphere makes it a compelling event for Gallagher’s growing business to be involved in.

“This agreement marks an important step for Gallagher by investing in the Irish economy and community events that make a difference to our clients and colleagues. This is a long-term agreement and a strong endorsement of the RDS’s ambition,” he added.
