Insurance broker Arachas has announced a deal to buy Ben McArdle Limited, which has been trading since 1964 from Dublin.
The company said today’s deal marks another significant milestone in its expansion strategy, with the company growing steadily over the past 20 years.
Operating in general insurance, with a client base all around the country, the firm is currently run by John McArdle, son of the founder.
The business has a separate trading branch in Northern Ireland, which is complementary to The Ardonagh Group’s activities in that market.
Under the terms of the deal, John McArdle, Principal of Ben McArdle Limited, will continue to work with Arachas, ensuring a seamless transition for the firm’s existing clients and staff.
John McArdle, from Ben McArdle Ltd., said that since his father established the business in Mount Street Lower, Dublin, it has built a strong reputation in South Dublin and across its specialist sectors.
This marks a new phase for the business and becoming part of Ireland’s largest nationwide broker means we can offer our customers even greater support, resources, and access to a wider range of products. It also allows us to maintain the personal touch that is so valued by our clients,” he added.
Joey Wynne, CEO of Arachas, said the Ben McArdle team have built an established business with a loyal client base.
“Their values, which focus on client service excellence, are closely aligned with us in Arachas,” he said.
“By joining the Arachas family, Ben McArdle Ltd will benefit from access to expanded products and services, while continuing to develop the high levels of customer service that their clients are used to,” he added.
