New look for RTÉ News app

Welcome to a fresh new-look RTÉ News app where you can still catch up on the latest headlines, live updates and in-depth analysis.

But we’ve made a few changes to make staying informed easier, faster and more relevant to you than ever before.

When you open the app, you’ll see even more engaging content – in light or dark mode – from across RTÉ.

You’ll also notice the app navigation has moved to the bottom of the screen – hit the Topics icon there to find all the usual high-quality reads from News, Sport, Business, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Culture and Brainstorm.

And in an exciting development, the app now displays full-screen video showcasing the best clips on the biggest stories of the week – or click the Watch icon to access live news.

In the top left of the screen, there’s a new interactive weather icon displaying the temperature – tap it for hour-by-hour updates and an extended range forecast.

There’s also the option to sign in to personalise and build your own feed, or bookmark articles that interest you most in My List.

So stay curious, stay connected – and there’ll be plenty more brilliant new functions to come as we continue to develop Ireland’s most popular news app.
