Blanchardstown Centre has appointed Iain Finlayson as its new Centre Director. He will take up his new position later this month.
Mr Finlayson joins Blanchardstown Centre from Liverpool One, one of the UK’s most successful retail and leisure destinations with 33 million annual visitors. He was Estate Director there.
Blanchardstown Centre is the country’s biggest retail and leisure destination and has been in operation for over 25 years, first opening its doors in 1996.
It has over 1.1 million square feet of retail and leisure space, with 188 shop units and 5,600 parking spaces on site. It is home to several retail brands, including Penneys, H&M, Zara, Hollister and Mango and is anchored by Dunnes Stores, Marks & Spencer and Aldi.
Connor Owens, CEO of Falcon AM, the asset management company of Blanchardstown Centre, said that Mr Finlayso’s track record speaks for itself, and he brings exceptional experience across retail, destination management, customer experience, and commercial strategy.
“His appointment reflects our ambition to keep raising the bar for Irish retail by attracting world-class brands, delivering outstanding visitor experiences, and reinforcing Blanchardstown Centre’s position as the destination of choice for domestic and international retailers,” Mr Owens added.
Iain Finlayson said that Blanchardstown Centre is the most significant retail and leisure destination in Ireland, with enormous potential for continued growth and evolution.
“Blanchardstown Centre has already created a compelling environment for brands to invest and grow, and I am looking forward to working with the team, brands and all stakeholders to help shape the next phase of its success,” he added.
