The National Treasury Management Agency has mandated a number of banks and brokers to sell €2 billion more of its 17-year green bond which funds projects with environmental benefits.

The NTMA last week cancelled a scheduled debt auction for May 14, which would likely have raised fewer funds and instead said it would opt for a syndicated bond transaction in the coming weeks.

The NTMA mandated BofA Securities, Citi, Danske Bank, Davy, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan as joint lead managers for the deal, which will be launched in the near future, language it typically uses when selling the debt the next day.
