        }         });     <\/script> <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Treasury yield curve has recently steepened.\u00a0 Short-end yields are being pushed lower by the FOMC\u2019s announcement after its last meeting that it would begin purchasing up to $40 billion of short-term T-bills a month to boost liquidity in the financial system.\u00a0Meanwhile, longer-term Treasury yields have seen upward pressure from concerns about inflation and the Fed\u2019s independence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>European government bond yields are trading higher today.\u00a0 The 10-year German bund yield today rose to a 9-month high and is up +1.3 bp at 2.908%.\u00a0 The 10-year UK gilt yield is up +0.6 bp at 4.530%.<\/p>\n<p>Swaps are discounting a 0% chance for a -25 bp rate cut by the ECB at its next policy meeting on February 5.<\/p>\n<p><strong>US Stock Movers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Magnificent Seven stocks are mixed today.\u00a0 Notable gainers include a rally of more than +2% in\u00a0Tesla (TSLA) and a rally of more than +1% in Nvidia (NVDA) and Meta (META).<\/p>\n<p>Chip stocks are moving higher today on continued support after last Friday\u2019s rallies of +7% in Micron Technology (MU)\u00a0and +6% in Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).\u00a0 Micron\u00a0(MU)\u00a0is a chip leader again today, with a gain of more than +2%.\u00a0 Marvel Technology\u00a0(MRVL) is up more than +1% today after Citi issued a positive catalyst watch for the stock ahead of January\u2019s CES conference.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ads__inline\">\n<div id=\"js-dfp-tag-vPk\"  class=\"btf-bodymidpagetwothirdswidth-3\">          <script type=\"text\/javascript\">         googletag.cmd.push(function() {             \/\/ Check if ID matches ID in the window.adsList array before calling googletag.display             function isAdInAdsList(id) {             for (var i = 0;
