{"id":29484,"date":"2025-12-17T20:22:38","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T01:22:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sharewatch.com\/wp\/2025\/12\/17\/annual-house-price-growth-comes-in-at-7-3-in-october\/"},"modified":"2025-12-17T20:22:38","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T01:22:38","slug":"annual-house-price-growth-comes-in-at-7-3-in-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sharewatch.com\/wp\/2025\/12\/17\/annual-house-price-growth-comes-in-at-7-3-in-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual house price growth comes in at 7.3% in October"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"maincontent\" role=\"main\">\n<div data-equalizer-watch id=\"main\" itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Article\" data-equalizer data-equalize-on=\"large\" data-equalize-by-row>\n<header>      <\/header>\n<div>\n<p><span>                                                   Updated \/ Wednesday, 17 Dec 2025 11:57                               \t\t<\/span>     <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<figure id=\"main-article-image\">\n<p>                                  <img decoding=\"async\" itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rte.ie\/images\/0023a1c0-800.jpg\" alt=\"The CSO said that property prices in Dublin rose by 5.4% and prices outside Dublin were up by 8.9% compared with October last year.\">             <\/p><figcaption data-epic-field=\"thumbnail_caption\">The CSO said that property prices in Dublin rose by 5.4% and prices outside Dublin were up by 8.9% compared with October last year.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<section itemprop=\"articleBody\" data-epic-field=\"content\">\n<p>New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that residential property prices increased by 7.3% in the 12 months to October, easing from the 7.5% rate of growth seen in September.<\/p>\n<p>Property prices in Dublin rose by 5.4% and prices outside Dublin were up by 8.9% compared with October last year.<\/p>\n<p>The median price for a home in October was \u20ac381,000, the CSO said.<\/p>\n<p>The CSO today reported monthly house price growth for October of 0.6%.<\/p>\n<p>It also said the annual growth rate for September was revised down to 7.5% from 7.6% and the monthly growth rate for September was revised down to 0.8% from 0.9%.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s CSO figures show that house prices in Dublin rose by 5.2% in the 12 months to October while apartment prices increased by 6.1%.<\/p>\n<p>The highest house price growth in Dublin was in Dublin City at 6.1% while Fingal saw a rise of 4.3%.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of Dublin, house prices were up by 8.8% and apartment prices rose by 10.5%.<\/p>\n<p>The region outside of Dublin that saw the largest growth in house prices was the Midlands (Laois, Longford, Offaly, and Westmeath) at 15.1%. At the other end of the scale, the West (Galway, Mayo, and Roscommon) saw a rise of 6%. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Map of Ireland showing median house price differences\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rte.ie\/images\/0023a3fa-614.jpg?ratio=1.2\"><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Meanwhile, households paid a median or mid-point price of \u20ac381,000 for a residential property in the 12 months to October. The highest median price was \u20ac675,000 in D\u00fan Laoghaire-Rathdown, while the lowest was \u20ac190,000 in Donegal.<\/p>\n<p>The CSO said the most expensive Eircode area was A45 (Oldtown in Dublin) with a median price of \u20ac875,000, while F45 (Castlerea in Roscommon) had the least expensive price of \u20ac150,000.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s figures also show that 4,830 home purchases were filed with the Revenue Commissioners in October, a decrease of 1% when compared with the 4,881 purchases the same time last year.<\/p>\n<p>The total value of transactions filed in October 2025 was \u20ac2.1 billion.
