Fast food chain German Doner Kebab is opening its first restaurant in Ireland at the end of November.<\/p>\n

German Doner Kebab’s first Irish location will open at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin and marks the start of a nationwide expansion that will see the opening of up to 30 stores across Ireland within the next decade.<\/p>\n

The new outlet will create 30 jobs in Liffey Valley, with plans for up to a further five stores and up to 150 jobs across Ireland within the next year.<\/p>\n

As of July 2025, there are over 170 GDK restaurants throughout the UK, Sweden, North America, and the Middle East; all backed by its primary investor, True and Hero Brands.<\/p>\n

The Strava Group, fronted by Rickey Sharma, operates the Master Franchise and leads the GDK growth strategy in Ireland.<\/p>\n

Simon Wallis, the chief executive of German Doner Kebab, said the company’s vision is to dominate the kebab category across Ireland and the world.<\/p>\n

“We value working with franchise partners who share and believe in our purpose to elevate the kebab experience. The Strava Group is already a successful partner in England and Scotland, with a deep understanding of the business operations. We look forward to continuing to work closely with them to fulfil the potential of the brand in Ireland,” he added.<\/p>\n

Rickey Sharma, Director of the Strava Group, said that German Doner Kebab is rewriting the rules of the kebab experience worldwide, and Ireland is the next chapter in that story.<\/p>\n

“We see tremendous potential in introducing our fresh, premium, and innovative approach to the Irish market, and we’re confident it will resonate with a new generation of customers,” he said.<\/p>\n
