In exchange for this agreement, the U.S. will continue to provide material support for the Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Mr. Zelensky described the agreement as a \u201cdetailed plan\u201d on strategic partnership between the two countries that would include opportunities for American businesses, and said that Ukraine wanted investment in its resources.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"css-s99gbd StoryBodyCompanionColumn\" data-testid=\"companionColumn-1\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cI\u2019m thankful to the president and his message that he will support Ukraine,\u201d Mr. Zelensky said of Mr. Trump. \u201cAnd I know that he is strong man, and I am sure that he will push Putin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">President Trump said Wednesday that he had held a \u201chighly productive\u201d call with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia to begin working toward a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
