Data centre company Equinix has teamed up with fashion designer Maximilian Raynor to create a dress made from the cables that transport the internet.
It weighs 25kgs and together the cables are 3.6km in length meaning they could stretch from Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green to Croke Park.
The dress took 640 hours to make and the cables used came from Equinix data centres.
Maximilian Raynor’s pieces have been worn by Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga.

“I started to imagine the personification of ‘internet’ herself: this visual character that is the embodiment of data,” Mr Raynor said.
“Like this woman that had emerged somewhat robot, somewhat human, from this pile of wires to create this dramatic look,” he added.
Equinix operates 260 data centres in 33 countries on five continents, including six in Dublin.
