The Marketing Institute Ireland (MII) has announced that Shane McGonigle is to step down as Chief Executive Officer after more than four years leading the organisation.
Mr McGonigle is set to leave the role early December to take up a Global CMO role in the technology sector.
The MMI said Mr McGonigle made substantial progress against the objectives set for his tenure having advanced the National Marketing Competency Framework, professional services, learning and education, member experience, events and its voice as the representative body for the profession.
The Institute is now preparing a formal, open recruitment process is to identify the right candidate to lead MII’s next phase of growth.
In the meantime an Interim CEO will be announced once appointed to allow continuity through the transition and the handover to the permanent CEO.
Mark Nolan, Chair of Marketing Institute Ireland, thanks Mr McGonigle for his leadership and contribution to the Institute and wished him success in his next chapter.
