Department store group Brown Thomas Arnotts has announced a new partnership with financial technology company Stripe.
Under the deal, the retailer will move online payments processing for its Brown Thomas and Arnotts websites and mobile apps to Stripe.
“Stripe’s technology and pace of innovation have enabled Brown Thomas Arnotts to continually innovate and deliver the effortless, elevated experience our customers expect, wherever and however they choose to shop,” said Sarah Esler, Head of Digital Product, Brown Thomas Arnotts.
Conor McNamara, Chief Revenue Officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Stripe, said its features like Authorization Boost and Radar have helped businesses recover revenue from card declines.
“We expect the same for Brown Thomas Arnotts as they migrate their entire online payments volume to Stripe,” Mr McNamara.
Stripe was founded by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison.
The company is dual-headquartered in Dublin and San Francisco.
It has previously announced plans to grow its global headcount to 10,000 people and currently employs around 650 people in Ireland.
In May 2025, Stripe was announced as the title sponsor of the Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, taking over from BT.
