Car insurance and home insurance provider OUTsurance has announced a major expansion of its Dublin office as the business continues its growth in the Irish market.

The company has nearly doubled the size of its office space from 19,000 square feet to 36,000 square feet. to accommodate its growing workforce.

The expanded office space at Cherrywood business park includes a larger training facility, with the company remaining on track to reach its hiring target of 300 team members in Ireland by the end of 2026.

South Africa-based OUTsurance Group launched in Ireland in May 2024, becoming the first new locally authorised personal insurance underwriter in the country for over a decade.

OUTsurance Ireland CEO Peter Broome said the expansion reflects the growing demand for the company’s car and home insurance services.

“We set out to make insurance more straightforward and more rewarding for Irish consumers, and the response from the outset has been strong. Growing our office and building out our training facilities helps us meet that demand, enabling us to continue hiring to maintain the level of service that has defined our entry into the market,” the CEO said.

Minister of State at the Department of Finance with special responsibility for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance Robert Troy said that OUTsurance’s expansion is a significant milestone for the company and a strong vote of confidence in Ireland’s insurance market.

“New entrants play an important role in increasing consumer choice, encouraging innovation and raising service standards. By nearly doubling its office space and continuing to grow its team, OUTsurance is also investing in the skills and talent that underpin Ireland’s success as an international insurance centre,” Mr Troy said.
