Tullamore-based company Future Ticketing is facilitating the attendence of up to 250,000 people over four consecutive days of racing at Cheltenham this week with its advanced digital ticketing software.
Founded in 2015 by Liam Holton and Mark Cotter, Future Ticketing is now active in four continents across 14 time zones and in eight languages.
By using the Future Ticketing platform, clubs and organisations ensure ticket buyers buy directly through their own websites with no involvement from third parties.
Future Ticketing first partnered with the Jockey Club, the operator of 14 horse racing venues across the UK including the Cheltenham course, in 2023.
When Cheltenham is over, festival attention will then switch to the Grand National, which will take place in April.
Future Ticketing also provides ticketing solutions for the Derby Festival at Epsom Downs in June, along with Jockey Club race meetings throughout the year in Carlisle, Haydock Park, Huntingdon, Market Rasen, Newmarket, Nottingham, Kempton Park, Sandown Park, Exeter, Warwick and Wincanton.
An estimated two million tickets are sold annually for these races.
At home, Future Ticketing counts League of Ireland club Shamrock Rovers among its many football partners, while it is also the ticketing partner for a number of GAA County Boards, including Kildare, Tipperary and Limerick.
It also has horse racing partners in Ireland, including Punchestown, plus racing venues in France, Australia and the US.
Future Ticketing is also active in live entertainment and outdoor events and is the ticketing partner for the National Ploughing Association.
