Irish Life Assurance has appointed David McRedmond, the chief executive of An Post, to its Board of Directors.
David McRedmond has been CEO of An Post since 2016. He was previously CEO of TV3 and also held senior commercial roles with Eircom.
He has also held a number of board and chair roles, including as Chairman of Eir and Premier Lotteries Ireland.
Declan Bolger, the CEO of Irish Life Group, said that David McRedmond will be a strong addition to the Board of Irish Life Assurance.
“David is a thoughtful and highly regarded business leader. He brings a clear customer and commercial perspective, sound judgement and an understanding of the issues that matter to a business of Irish Life’s scale,” Mr Bolger said.
“His experience and perspective will be an invaluable addition to the board as we continue to build the business and deliver for Irish Life’s customers,” he added.
David McRedmond said he was very pleased to join the Board of Irish Life, a company with a long history and a central place in financial services in Ireland.
“This is a business that people engage with at important stages of their lives, from protecting their families to planning for the future. That is a meaningful role, and one I have long respected. I look forward to working with Declan, the board and the wider Irish Life team,” he added.
