Around 50 jobs are to be cut at the Irish operation of US software firm Salesforce.

The company has declined the comment but it is understood the cuts are part of around 1,000 global layoffs that were first reported at the start of the month.

In February 2023, Salesforce cut around 200 jobs in Ireland as part of global layoffs.

At the time, the company employed more than 2,000 people here.

According to Bloomberg, Salesforce is cutting jobs globally while simultaneously hiring workers to sell new artificial intelligence products.

Yesterday, Salesforce forecast fiscal 2026 revenue below Wall Street expectations, weighed down by slower adoption of its Agentforce platform.

The company said it expects revenue to be between $40.5 billion and $40.9 billion, compared to the average analysts’ estimate of $41.35 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.

The jobs cuts at Salesforce were first reported by The Irish Times.
