Former chair of the board of RTÉ John Sorohan has died at the age of 90.
Mr Sorohan chaired the RTÉ Authority (which preceded the RTÉ board) between 1990 and 1995, and also previously served as Assistant Director General at the broadcaster.
He went on to serve as a director on the board of CIE in the 2000s.
Mr Sorohan died following a short illness in the early hours of this morning in Dublin, surrounded by his family.
