Flogas Energy, which is part of the Flogas Ireland Group of companies and DCC, has surpassed 250,000 electricity and natural gas customers across the island of Ireland.
The company said this marks a seven-fold increase since 2019 and was fuelled by strategic acquisitions, diversified renewable energy solutions and marketing campaigns.
Over the last five years, Flogas Energy has evolved into a diversified energy company offering natural gas and 100% renewable electricity to all its customers.
Furthering its commitment to a cleaner future, Flogas Energy is pioneering initiatives such as Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs), supplying biomethane injected into the national gas network, and Ireland’s first dedicated Bio-CNG refuelling station.
It has also committed to investing €50m in solar energy and plants a tree for every customer who signs up for its “Green Future Tariffs”.
The 2020 acquisition of Budget Energy and the 2021 acquisition of Naturgy Ireland also contributed to this strong growth.
“Reaching a quarter of a million customers is a powerful validation of our team’s dedication to sustainability and customer-focus. We would like to thank all our Residential and Commercial customers for their ongoing support and we look forward to supporting them all with innovative and cost saving energy solutions in to the future,” Sean O’Loughlin, Managing Director of Flogas Energy, said.
