A new report reveals a 25% drop in productivity for staff who work rigidly in the office compared to those on flexible hybrid setups.
Over 1,000 white-collar workers across Ireland and the UK were surveyed as part of the search carried out by LAMPartnership.
The study shows that millennials, those aged between 29 and 44 are thriving in a hybrid model, with 52% strongly agreeing that they do their best work.
However, this drops to 34% for Gen Z, those aged 18-28 and to 37% for Gen X, aged 45-60.
“Our data is unequivocal – hybrid enables peak performance for most employees,” said Mary Lou Nolan, Managing Partner at LAMPartnership.
“But without intentional design, critical gaps are emerging – and they’re already impacting productivity and profitability. This is a strategic risk.
“Leaders must now re-architect hybrid with the same rigour they apply to financial or operational planning.
“That means addressing not just logistical enablers, but the motivational levers that vary across life and career stages,” she added.
