Renault named Duncan Minto as interim CEO today to lead the French automaker while it searches for a permanent replacement for Luca de Meo.
De Meo resigned suddenly last month after five years at the helm of Renault and will join luxury group Kering in September. Minto will take over running the company as of Tuesday.
“Currently CFO of Renault Group, Duncan Minto will ensure the day-to-day management of the company alongside Jean-Dominique Senard, who will hold the position of Chairman of Renault s.a.s., the operating company of the Group, during this period,” Renault said in a statement.
“Since 1997 in the group, Duncan has a solid experience in finance and a deep understanding of the issues at stake,” it said.
