IKEA is to open its latest plan and order point in Waterford next week.

The new outlet, which will be located in the Tramore Road Business Park, will be the Swedish retailer’s largest operation outside of Dublin.

It is the seventh such smaller store that IKEA will have opened across the country, but it is eight times larger than existing sites.

The shops enable customers to view some ranges, design with a specialist team member and order materials for delivery.

The 840 square metre outlet, which will operate on a cashless basis, will also be the first of the plan and order points to offer 100 different IKEA products for sale.
It will also provide a free of charge click and collect service and returns location.

15 jobs have been created with the opening of the new plan and order point, with three more such outlets “earmarked to open with the next year.”

“This new Plan and Order Point is not just our largest store outside of Dublin; it’s a testament to our commitment to making IKEA more accessible and convenient,” said Jayne Owen Gauld, Market Manager, IKEA Ireland.
