Lift company FAIN has increased its market share in Ireland to 20% of the Irish elevator market.

The Spanish-owned firm will now service more than 7,000 lifts nation-wide, after it completed the acquisition of TKE Ireland, formerly Thyssenkrupp Elevator.

The move expands the portfolio of lifts managed by FAIN to a fifth of the market, including devices managed by Doyle, which is part of the group.

FAIN first entered the Irish market in 2021 with the acquisition of OTIS Ireland and West of Ireland Lifts (WOIL), under the name Irish Lift Services (ILS).

The Chief Operations Officer of FAIN said Ireland has been “a core pillar” of the company’s international strategy.

Miguel Gomez said: “In just four years, we’ve grown our presence from 4,600 to over 7,000 lifts – a pace that reflects our long-term commitment to local investment, technical excellence and customer-first service.”

The CEO of FAIN Ireland, Michael Kelly, said the company has “brought together the strengths of four businesses under one vision.”

FAIN, which was founded in Madrid in 1972, also has operations in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium.

The company’s clients in Ireland include Google, Guinness, Meta and Inditex.
