Bank of Ireland said today that 118 new ATMs have been installed across 30 branch locations as part of its nationwide ATM upgrade programme.

The rollout is part of the Bank of Ireland’s €60m investment in its branch network and ATM infrastructure.

71 internal and 47 external ATMs have been installed so far, replacing older machines with state-of-the-art technology that improves customer experience and operational efficiency.

This upgrade is part of a broader initiative to replace about 650 ATMs across all Bank of Ireland branches by the end of 2027.

Susan Russell, CEO of the Bank of Ireland’s Retail Ireland division, said the bank was seeing strong momentum in its ATM upgrade programme, with 118 new devices now operational across 30 branches.

“These new ATMs are more efficient, more accessible, and better equipped to meet the needs of our customers. This investment reflects our commitment to modernising our infrastructure and ensuring reliable access to cash across the country,” Ms Russell said.

The lender said the ATM rollout continues, with around 50 additional devices planned for installation at about 15 locations before the end of the year.
