New figures from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, show that the annual inflation rate in the euro zone stood at 2% in July, unchanged from the previous month.
Euro zone inflation had stood at 2.6% in July of last year.
Today’s figures show that the lowest annual rates were registered in Cyprus (0.1%), France (0.9%) and Ireland (1.6%).
The highest annual rates were recorded in Romania (6.6%), Estonia (5.6%) and Slovakia (4.6%).
Compared with June 2025, annual inflation fell in eight member states, remained stable in six and rose in 13.
Eurostat said the highest contribution to the annual euro area inflation rate in July came from services, followed by food, alcohol & tobacco, non-energy industrial goods and energy.
