Take-up of industrial and logistics space in Dublin increased by 54% in the first half of the year, when compared to the same six month period last year.
A new report by CBRE Ireland shows that take up increased to 112,845 sq m during the period.
The report states that outlook for deals for the second half of the year in Dublin is healthy, with a number of high-profile transactions progressing well and expected to complete in the coming months.
Among them is an agreement for lease that has been signed at M7 Real Estate’s Ballymount Logistics Hub, which will boost take-up in the second half of the year.
According to CBRE Ireland, this deal, among others, will leave the market on course for annual take-up of over 200,000 sq m in 2025, at least a 33% uplift versus 2024.
“Despite some macroeconomic uncertainty, we continue to record strong occupier demand, particularly from third-party logistics providers seeking to expand their distribution footprint in Dublin,” said Garrett McClean, executive director & head of industrial & logistics at CBRE.
“It was encouraging to see new development commencing at both Nexus Logistics Park and Stadium Business Park in the last quarter, which we expect will attract competitive interest,” he added.
