Union members at Bus Éireann have vote to accept a new pay deal.

The agreement is for two years backdated to 1 January 2025.

The first backdated pay rise is of 3.5% with a second one on 1 January 2026 of 3.25%.

There will also be an additional one off payment this year of a €500 voucher included in the agreement.

The Bus Éireann trade union group includes the NBRU, SIPTU, Connect, Unite and the TSSA.

SIPTU said it had been a long road for members in striking a new pay deal with management which goes someway to addressing the rising cost of living and respects the essential services provided by Bus Éireann workers.

“This deal came after several months of negotiations with management,” said SIPTU Sector Organiser, John Murphy.

“In this process we were assisted by the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court.”

“This is a good deal for transport workers who provide a vital service to communities across the country,” Mr Murphy said.
