Australian-based investor, developer and manager of public infrastructure Plenary Group has opened a new office in Dublin as it expands its European footprint.

The new Dublin office opening follows Plenary’s 2022 establishment of a London office.

Executive Director Matthew Biviano has relocated from the company’s Sydney office to head the new Dublin office.

Plenary’s projects include Queensland Schools, housing projects and the Sydney Metro-Western Sydney Airport project as well as the Staffordshire University Student Village in the UK.

Mr Biviano said he was excited to be pursuing opportunities in Ireland.

“Ireland’s strong demand for social housing and transport projects, including the Dublin MetroLink, is well aligned with our experience across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and North America, and I am excited for the opportunity to deliver this important public infrastructure for Ireland,” he said.

IDA Ireland’s Head of Emerging Business Denis Curran said that Plenary’s announcement further underscores Ireland’s position as a leading location for global firms looking to expand into the European market.

Plenary CEO Paul Crowe said the establishment of a Dublin office demonstrates its commitment to Ireland as it looks to support the delivery of its strong pipeline of public infrastructure projects.

“Ireland’s €165 billion National Development Plan recognises the need to significantly accelerate infrastructure delivery,” Mr Crowe said.

“Successful delivery of the plan’s ambitious projects will require resourcing with the appropriate skillsets. With our strong international experience, Plenary is well place to support the realisation of Ireland’s infrastructure ambitions,” he added.

Established in Australia in 2004, Plenary has expanded to now include offices in the UK, the UAE, Singapore, North America and Australia as well as its new office in Dublin.
