CPAC Modular, a manufacturer of modular buildings, will today break ground on its new €16 million manufacturing facility in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath.

Situated on a 22-acre greenfield site, the company has said the new facility will allow it to triple its manufacturing capacity for permanent modular solutions.

The development will see the creation of 100 new jobs over a five-year period, including roles in engineering, project management, construction, administration and technical support.

CPAC Modular has said the manufacturing facility, which will act as the company’s new headquarters, represents its “commitment to innovation, job creation, and industry expansion, strengthening Ireland’s modular construction capabilities”.

The family-owned business, which is currently headquartered in Dunshaughlin Business Park and employs 110 people, has operated in Ireland for over 40 years.

The greenfield site for the new manufacturing facility is located around 1km away from its existing headquarters.

The company provides modular buildings across residential sectors, including housing, apartments, and purpose-built student accommodation, as well as commercial, education and healthcare

The company specialises in “designing and constructing high-quality offsite modular building systems, adhering to stringent safety and compliance standards”.

The sod will officially be turned on CPAC Modular’s new manufacturing facility this afternoon, with construction set to be completed by next summer.

Speaking ahead of the event, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said: “I am delighted to turn the sod on this modern manufacturing facility for CPAC Modular in Dunshaughlin. This significant investment of €16m will provide a substantial boost to the wider Meath area with the creation of new jobs in a wide range of areas in engineering and manufacturing. I look forward to seeing the completion of this wonderful facility next year.”

He said: “With enhanced capacity and cutting-edge technology, we are committed to leading the modular construction sectors, driving innovation, creating jobs, and delivering high-quality modular solutions that address Ireland’s growing infrastructure needs across industry, education and large-scale residential.”

Director of Construction for CPAC Modular Mark Whitehead added: “With a threefold increase in capacity, we are poised to deliver high-quality, sustainable infrastructure at scale and with accelerated project timelines. The new HQ will meet the growing demands of modern construction with efficiency and excellence.”

Meanwhile, Interim CEO of Enterprise Ireland Kevin Sherry said: “CPAC Modular has emerged as a true leader in the area of offsite modular construction, and this announcement by the company today is a major milestone in their journey.

“Enterprise Ireland is proud to work with CPAC Modular, including through our Built to Innovate programme, which aims to bring greater efficiencies to the sector and increased productivity,” Mr Sherry added.
