Coca-Cola HBC Ireland & Northern Ireland has completed the acquisition of BDS Vending Solutions Ltd.
BDS Vending, founded in 1993, is a food and drink vending services business in Ireland, with around 2,000 vending machines.
Coca-Cola HBC said the move is part of a strategy to enhance its route-to-market and direct-to-consumer capabilities.
“BDS Vending together with Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland has the potential to transform the vending industry on the island of Ireland,” said Simon Fitzpatrick, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland.
“This acquisition will see our business bring agile ways of operating to the market, harness innovative technology, while also building capabilities in our route-to-market,” he added.
The proposed transaction was approved by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) on 12 February 2025.
The official close of the acquisition took place on Friday 28 February.
