A number of batches of Nestle Frosted Shreddies have been recalled, due to the possible presence of hard lumps of sugar.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said that the recall affects 12 batches of the product.
Among those being recalled are Nestlé Frosted Shreddies 500g with batch numbers:
42870952 (expiry date 07/2025)
42880952 (expiry date 07/2025)
42890952 (expiry date 07/2025)
42900952 (expiry date 07/2025)
The Nestlé Frosted Shreddies 40g box in the Nestlé Box Bowl Mixed Cereals is also impacted, with the following batch codes being recalled:
42913451 (expiry date 06/2025)
42923451 (expiry date 06/2025)
42933451 (expiry date 06/2025)
43173451 (expiry date 07/2025)
43183451 (expiry date 07/2025)
43193451 (expiry date 07/2025)
43203451 (expiry date 07/2025)
43233451 (expiry date 07/2025)
Retailers have been asked to removed the batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.
Meanwhile wholesalers and distributors have been asked to contact affected customers.
Anyone who has bought the implicated batches are being advised not to eat them.
