Squarespace, the US company that helps small and medium sized companies to set up their own websites, said it will create over 120 jobs in Ireland over the next two years.
The company said its expansion will further strengthen its presence in Ireland and will bring its total workforce in Ireland to over 400 employees.
Squarespace opened its Irish office in Dublin in 2013.
Supported by IDA Ireland, Squarespace said it will begin hiring a variety of roles immediately, with a focus on engineering and product roles in 2025.
The new jobs will support its continued investment in product innovation and global expansion.
Colm MacCarvill, Squarespace Ireland Site Lead, said the company was thrilled to be growing its team in Dublin.
“This expansion strengthens our product and engineering presence, enabling us to continue building innovative products that empower millions of entrepreneurs and businesses worldwide,” he said.
“Ireland remains a key strategic hub for Squarespace, offering a high calibre of international talent and a thriving tech ecosystem. This investment is a strong endorsement of Ireland as a leading destination for global business and innovation,” he said.
Minister for Enterprise, Tourism & Employment Peter Burke said that Squarespace’s decision to expand its operations in Ireland with the addition of 120 new jobs underlines the importance of Ireland as a stable and attractive location for international business.
Michael Lohan, CEO of IDA Ireland, said the announcement by Squarespace confirms Ireland as a great location to scale your business with the country’s vibrant ecosystem and available talent pool.
“I want to congratulate Squarespace on the announcement of 120 new jobs and to assure them of IDA Ireland’s continued support as they expand their operations in Ireland in the years ahead,” Mr Lohan added.
